Al Dhabiyah Coral Reef:
Depth: maximum 10meter/35ft
Description: Sandy bottom with a variety of hard corals growing on the bottom. This makes for a beautiful scenic dive as the corals grow in all symmetry and show the natural architecture of the Arabian Gulf
Marine life: Usually there are plenty of marine life including shoals of yellow snappers, goatfish, a curious family of batfish who follows the divers, hammour, yellow bar angel fish, bennies, sandy gobies and commensal shrimps. If divers look closely they can also find some anemones with clownfish living in them. Plenty of juvenile fish around and when the water temperature is around 25C, divers can find plenty of sting rays on the sandy bottom including leopard rays, butterfly rays, torpedo rays, feather tail rays and shovelnose rays. Some divers have also seen bamboo sharks. Seahorse in the seagrass area. |
